14/05/2013 - Macduff Shipyards have recently signed a new order for a 23m twin rig trawler.
Contracted by the Benarkle Partnership from Peterhead, Yard 658 is to be a sister ship to both yard 655 and
yard 656 with some alteration to the internal layout to suit the owners requirements. This will also be the first vessel in
the series to be fitted with a CAT C32 main engine which is anticipated to deliver similar performance.

01/11/2012 - Macduff Shipyards have recently
completed their latest vessel 'Nereus' INS 172.
MV Nereus is a 19.00m twin-rig freezer
prawn trawler. Designed by Macduff Ship Design Limited the vessel was originally meant to be built in Portugal but when
the contract failed and the yard closed it was bought by Macduff Shipyards who have now completed the vessel for skipper Terry
Skipper.

05/12 - Macduff Shipyards have just completed
a multi-purpose support vessel, specifically designed for renewable energy support, dive support, survey and civil projects.
The vessel has been built by Macduff Shipyards Limited for Inverlussa Marine Services,
who are based on the Isle of Mull.

03/12 - Macduff Shipyards have just completed a new design Scallop Trawler in the under 15m Class.
The
new vessel “Crystal Dawn” CN20 has been built to the order of Islay Crab Exports Limited, headed by James Monaghan,
and the design was developed in close co-operation with Macduff Ship Design Limited who produced the steel kit drawings and
Stability Data.

10/11 - Macduff Shipyards have recently completed something out of the ordinary.
The construction of "Victoria May" PD267 started as a repeat
of “Golden Sceptre” PD50, but the owner decided to fit equipment for freezing prawns at sea and at the same time
stretch the vessel to accommodate a more efficient layout for freezer storage. The vessel was built to the order of William and Lynne McLeman and Lynne May Fishing
Company, of Peterhead.

01/03/11 - Macduff Shipyards have recently completed their latest vessel for Aberdeen Harbour Board.
MV Sea Herald is a 14.0m purpose build general harbour workboat, designed for surveying,
plough dredging and debris recovery.
The owners, Aberdeen Harbour Board, have also built two pilot cutters at Macduff.

MV Golden Sceptre is a repeat of the Rebecca/Fruitful
Vine model at 21.22m overall length and is a twin rig prawn/whitefish trawler with 7.0m of beam.
The owners also
built their last two vessels at Macduff.

their largest fishing vessel to date for Peter Lovie from Whitehills
MV
Endeavour IV is a new design to the yard and is a 29.00m overall length Twin Stern Ramp Trawler with 10.50m of beam.
Peter had previously owned and operated MV Endeavour III which was also built by Macduff Shipyards
and was sold to Iceland last year.

20/01/09 - MV "Rebecca" FR143
Completed at the end of 2008 by Macduff Shipyards Limited is the "Rebecca" for skipper Adam Tait, who operates through
Westward Fishing Company.
This is a new model, developed to the skippers requirements. Adam wanted a similar fishroom capacity to the previous
18/19 metre vessels built by the yard, but the vessel had to be more fuel efficient by developing a design which was easier
to push through the water.
