Shipyards are concentrating on the development of the sterngear side of the business.
Henry Fleetwood &
Sons produced over 2300 sets of Fleetwood sterngear with a size range of 50 to 300mm shaft diameter available in oil or water
lubricated gears. A standard range is also available in bronze tubes for wooden and GRP vessels. We can also make replacement
CPP shafts with diameters to 250mm and lengths to 7m.
The manufacture of sterngear to customers requirements is produced at our machine shop in Macduff and a store has been
set up for stocking a full range of spares for wooden and steel vessels. All drawings and records of the sterngears manufactured
by Henry Fleetwood and Son Ltd are available for manufacturing spare parts. For sterngear repair, modification and replacement
we offer: - A comprehensive stock of specialist non-ferrous and stainless steel products.

to advise on best engines, gearboxes, and stern gear options.
We stock a range of engine spares for Volvo
and Cummins engines at our facility
Separ and Racor filter unit spares and filters are also available from our
