Macduff Shipyards have many years experience in the Aquaculture Industry and can provide bespoke vessels and engineering solutions to match our customers' requirements. 

Macduff Shipyards manage complex specifications from multiple stakeholders, incorporating these into a design concept and then delivering on time, within budget and without compromise on quality.

Over the last 10 years we have refurbished & built many fish farm barges and workboats which has given us the experience to design and build a user friendly product. 

Barges are built and designed in a sympathetic manner, looking more like a ship than traditional barge designs and built from steel to ensure that they are recyclable at the end of their working life. Workboats can also be of a bespoke design, built from steel or aluminium and in sizes up to 30m in length overall.

The yards Buckie facility has become very popular in recent years within the aquaculture sector and services many vessels and barges throughout the year from all over the UK.
