New build 675 ‘Lily Mae’, a 14.00m catamaran workboat for Scottish Sea Farms, has successfully completed trials in the moray firth and has now been handed over to the owners. With a length of 14.00m, a beam of 6.20m and a depth of 2.10m, Lily Mae has been designed to carry out a range of jobs within the aquaculture industry. Two Iveco N67 main engines , each with 260 hp, provided a top speed of 10.0 knots on trials. In addition to this the vessel is capable of carrying 20t of deck cargo and has a deck area of almost 60m2 aft of the wheelhouse. The Lily Mae is fitted with a Palfinger 18500 M(B) deck crane which can lift 1600kg at 10.1m and also has a 5t and 1.5t capstan fitted to the starboard side for working on the salmon cages.
